Tallowwood is an Australian native hardwood which grows in wet coastal forest regions. This species is hard, durable, versatile and known for its blonde-brown to olive green colour. It’s regarded as a great option for flooring, and particularly decking.
Tallowwood is one of the few timbers that has a Class 1 rating, both above ground and in contact with the ground. This comes with a life expectancy of up to 40 years.
Swadlings proudly stock Boral Tallowwood, which is particularly well suited to sloping sites and is excellent in split-level and two-storey constructions. Boral decking is seasoned to ensure optimum hardness, stability and long service life.
