On the banks of Sydney Harbour in 1914, Arthur William “A.W.” Swadling opened a timber yard to serve the new constructions of a vibrant and growing city. Grandson of a sawyer and carpenter, and son to Cornelius, a respected timber merchant, A.W. Swadling grew his business to become one of the most trusted timber retailers in NSW.

His great grandson, Mark, now proudly manages the family business with the same outstanding customer service and comprehensive product knowledge that has seen the business thrive for more than a century.
