Oregon has been a superior construction material for decades. Mainly used as structural timber in framing and timber portal frames, this softwood is highly durable and affordable. Unlike Pine, Oregon has less knots and is less prone to bow or lose it’s “straightness”. Oregon can be vulnerable to termites.

Also known as Douglas Fir, it grows in North America as well as New Zealand and Australia.
