Blackbutt Decking

Blackbutt is a large native hardwood native to eastern Australia. It is often used for structural purposes, building framework and decorative applications.

This species is strong, durable and provides good fire resistance. As a Class 1 hardwood, it is a popular choice for structural framework, decking and flooring. It is naturally termite resistant and not susceptible to Lyctus Borer.

Swadlings proudly stock of Blackbutt Decking by Boral Timber, manufactured from Australian Coastal Blackbutt with high durability in Australian conditions, suitable for use in BAL 29 areas under Australian Standard AS3959.

Blackbutt Decking by Boral Timber is Chain of Custody certified, which is sourced from sustainably managed and legal forestry.

Blackbutt gets its name from the dark outer bark at the base of this type of eucalpytus tree.
