Blackbutt

Blackbutt

Blackbutt is a large native hardwood native to eastern Australia. It is often used for structural purposes, building framework and decorative applications.

This species is strong, durable and provides good fire resistance. As a Class 1 hardwood, it is a popular choice for structural framework, decking and flooring.

Blackbutt gets its name from the dark outer bark at the base of this type of eucalpytus tree.
